To understand the scope of Plans of Action Houston’s mission statement, Dr. Stephen Klineberg’s research must be taken into account. As the founder of the Kinder Institute, not only has he invested over 30 years of research in demographics, he has helped Houstonians to understand the plight of education.
As a prominent sociologist, its as if he takes a kaleidoscope approach and provides a sharp focus into the future. Through his research, we can see the face of consumers here in Houston, and throughout our global community. Businesses and educational institutions that do not incorporate his research within their long-term goals, may not have the sustainability power and longevity required to excel in the global competitive marketplace.
Through his work, Dr. Klineberg has poignantly for some, and excitedly for others, educated Houstonians and the world on its future demographics. Whether you are willing to accept it or not, the research is accurate. If there is no investment in minorities and their education, there will be no preservation of the works many have made to the contribution of our majestic city, Houston. The approaching devastation is inevitable, unless, changes are made. We must ensure a quality education is available to all children within our public school system inclusive of minorities.
